Mary Peters needs to be fired immediately! She is a true representative of this corrupt administration that she serves. The Trucking and Transportation industry was sucessfully infiltrated and subverted with the abolishment of the Interstate Commerce Commission by changing title 49 of the U. S. Code and replacing it with the Surface Transportation Board.
Comment by Steve Morgan March 14, 2008 @ 5:17 amThe concept of “deregulation” first surfaced during the Nixon Administration, but the Ford Administration layed the groundwork. It really took off during President Carter’s admistration. It has created a swindler’s dream that is destroying the United States. Look at what’s happened to the industries “deregulated”, i.e. privatized, since the 1970’s: Airlines, railroads, trucking, cable television, telephones,..the list goes on. It is interesting that Andrew Card, the 11th Secretary of Transportation in the Bush I Administration (the author of the CDL program of the early 1990’s), was the advisor to President George W. Bush.
The DAC files, derogatory information folders on American Drivers, headquartered in Tulsa, Oklahoma, will certainly, and do not apply to Mexcan Nationals.
This is controled by six anonymous cariers; good luck trying to find out exactly who they are.
Without a doubt, one of them is Schneider National out of Green Bay, WI. As corrupt as institution as any can get. Mary Peters needs to go! It would be interesting to find out why Norman Mineta, the previous Secretary of Transportaion in both the Clinton and Bush Administrations, really resigned.
