It sure seems like a lot of people are plain ol’ pissed off with Mary Peters — at least as furious with the lawbreaker as we are. I started the day looking for the stats on how many letters were sent from our Take Action link . The stats prove that we have a momentum going: More than 8,400 letters were sent to Congress while some 117 letters were sent to editors of your local publications!
Of course this is excellent work … but we have only just begun. Take the time to grab the link to the letters (or just copy and paste this: http://www.teamsterstakeaction.org/campaign/contempt) into an email. Send the link to everyone you know of; let them know you have had about enough of Mary Peters and her blatant breaking of the law. Go ahead and let folks know that their lives are in jeopardy because of Mary and her brilliance in continuing with the Mexican trucking program.
You can also tell people about this site. Everyone is welcomed to come and vent their disgust with this woman, which I always find very cathartic.
Keep up the excellent work & keep the pressure on!
When the Teamsters Union launched FireMaryPeters.com about three weeks ago we suggested that American people get heard on the unfair and dangerous Mexican trucking program.

Teamsters,
I don’t work in a business that is unionized, but I’ve never crossed a workers’ picket line at a grocery store or anywhere else in my life.
What I want to say though is that there is truth to the saying, “the enemy of your enemy is your friend.”
Mary Peters has attacked a bunch of organized bikers, and if you don’t know about us, we are ABATE, A Brotherhood Against Totalitarian Enactments, millions strong nationwide and BOLT, Bikers of Lesser Tolerance, among many other biker organizations devoted to regaining our dignity and freedom to ride without the government telling us what kind of riding hat to wear.
“I had a dream,” and my dream was that there was a long line of 18 wheelers mixed with Harley Davidsons descending on Washington, D.C., standing side by side in opposition to Mary Peters.
You just let us know, brothers in arms, and we will join you in any effort that is calculated to bring Ms. Peters down.

Unfortunately, Mary didn’t make this decision on her own. This administration has made it very clear that it is going to ignore the law and the wishes of the American people as it continues to move towards the North American Union. Allowing unsafe Mexican trucks to move across our border at will while endangering our people is an example of how much contempt and disregard this administration has for its Citizens and the Constitution.
This country’s borders have already been made meaningless by its government’s intentional failure to enforce immigration laws. Now its legislated safety regulations mean nothing either.
The country needs to wake up and realize that, with the loss of jobs to illegal aliens and unfair trade agreements like NAFTA, this country’s government is waging economic war on its own people.
Be careful who you vote for. There’s only one man running who will put an end to this.

Comment by K. Gaines March 2, 2008 @ 8:09 pmJust a quick line to voice my support for America and its citizens on every front, and to let the fellow concerned about his email know that only ‘HE” can see it. not the rest of us. Besides a good practice even when leaving it where every is to keep it from being automatically used if you can. something like, johnperiodhenery or johndothenery@home.com most reading it will know to change the period or dot to a . spiders seldom do and it honestly is not worth the code or processor time to have them do it.
